The title 'Aether' is inspired by a concept people believed in during ancient times. It was a mystical, invisible medium we thought we lived in, though it was ultimately proven not to exist. Yet, there is a strange magic in the way that the moment you give something a name, it seems to become a tangible entity, regardless of whether it actually exists. I wrote this song thinking about the intense emotion of encountering something—or someone—so surreal that you begin to question your own senses. I wanted to capture that breathless, confusing moment of wondering whether that person is a dream, a mirage, or an existence I conjured up out of desperate longing. The process of creating this track was a journey to find the perfect words to describe the exact moment where chaos, memory, and reality collide. This is also why I keep looping the phrase 'all of it is you' in the outro. Because, after all the confusion and hallucinations fade, that is the sole, core truth this song finally arrives at.

'Aether(에테르)'라는 제목은 고대에 존재한다고 믿었던 개념에서 영감을 받았습니다. 우리가 그 안에서 살고 있다고 믿었던 신비롭고 보이지 않는 매질이지만, 결국 존재하지 않는 것으로 밝혀졌죠. 이렇듯 무언가에 이름을 붙이는 순간, 실제 존재 여부와 상관없이 하나의 실체가 되는 듯한 묘한 마법이 있습니다. 저는 자신의 감각마저 의심하게 될 정도로 비현실적인 무언가—혹은 누군가—를 마주했을 때의 강렬한 감정을 떠올리며 이 곡을 썼습니다. 그 사람이 꿈인지, 신기루인지, 아니면 내가 간절히 원해서 만들어낸 존재인지 헷갈리는 그 숨 막히고 혼란스러운 찰나를 담아내고 싶었거든요. 곡을 작업하는 과정은 혼란과 기억, 그리고 현실이 충돌하는 순간을 묘사할 완벽한 단어들을 찾는 여정이었습니다. 후반부에 '전부 다 너이거나(all of it is you)'라는 구절을 계속 반복하는 이유도 여기에 있습니다. 모든 혼란과 환각이 지나간 후, 이 노래가 마침내 도달하게 되는 유일하고 핵심적인 진실이기 때문입니다.
